OCTOBER GOLD

Autumn . . .

colors awake

as the trees

begin to fall to sleep.

Leaves shake

with the breezes

turned to coming

winter winds.

Mauve

             and green

                              and yellow

striate the remains

of  Indian Summer.

October captures

the last rays of gold.
