TOOK THE SEASHORE ROAD

Took the seashore road

and sat and watched the sea

A bird became a butterfly

and landed on my knee

Who was the alien

whose land was it

Whose sea ?

She waved a wing tremulously

not sure of anything

the whole world swaying

And I not sure of anything

agreed with everything

that she was saying

As the pollen from her wings

flowered down on me

"Untitled abstract painting" by Tarane Ebrahimi, Iran

Tarane Ebrahimi was born on September 15th, 1982 in Tehran.

She’s interested in modern art, specially, modern lyrical abstraction. Taraneh started painting on November 2009 and tried various medias for work and finally she choose oil, and now she uses only a knife and oil colors in her paintings.

“Don’t ask me any thing about the background of my works, because if I could explain my emotions with words, I would prefer to be a writer not a painter. I just use colors for describing what’s going on in my mind or my heart. I always let the colors do their works and I feel that I’m just an instrument. So, some where I think, OK, it’s done, leave it”.

Her paintings have been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Tehran.

"Above Three Bays" by Jakthon Phaengtho, Thailand

"Above Three Bays" painting by  Jakthon Phaengtho, Thailand

Jakthon Phaengtho is thirty-seven years old and from the seaside town of Hua Hin, Thailand.

Living by the sea with mountains behind, I often walk the hills overlooking the vast expanse of ocean water.

Often, I ponder how lucky I am to see the birds of the air and the butterflies fly by in this beautiful land which we share together.

The Three Bays are a natural wonder of Southern Thailand's eastern side, and a famous site that many visitors wish to remember.

It is through art and the technique of bright, vivid paint on canvas that this memory can travel back with them back to

the places where people live and do not have this brilliant vision of loviness I have everyday.

Fine Art Photo by Perdita Felizitas, Austria

"The  Four Elements" by Adel Gorgy, New York, USA

Adel Gorgy, New York

Merging the conceptual with the visual into complex, multifaceted images, Adel Gorgy’s work extends the boundaries and redefines the possibilities of photography. In his work, the camera is a vital tool, but, unlike traditional photography where the artist merely records a moment, in these works, Gorgy’s hand and vision are always present, directing, decoding, deciding and defining to arrive at an image that may bear echoes of the original, but in an entirely distinct voice.

Adel Gorgy is a New York area artist who photographic artwork has been exhibited in museums and galleries in the U.S. and internationally. He has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions. Over seventy of his photographic artworks have been published in a series of ekphrastic broadsides as the Art and Poetry series by Cross-Cultural Communications, and his photographs have been published widely in books and magazines.

"Waves of the Imagination" by Marsha Solomon, New York, USA

Marsha Solomon is an accomplished New York area artist whose work has been widely exhibited in galleries and museums both nationally and internationally. Her series of large abstract paintings titled “From Rhythm to Form” follow a simple yet powerful formula, in which the interplay of jewel-like colors, the variation of opacity—from soft washes to thick strokes of impasto—and positive and negative spaces all combine to create a dynamic image, born from nature and intuition, but, ultimately, about no less than the elements of art itself. Line, color and form unite on her canvasses to create an atmospheric, mystical space of serenity infused with energy.

David Gerstein has exhibited extensively at international venues in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Berlin, Rome, Singapore, New York, and Tel Aviv, just to say a few.

It is difficult to think of another artist like David Gerstein, whose work in recent years has gained such prominence on the local scene. Some of his works have been chosen to appear on huge billboards, as human and aesthetic images that aim to catch the eye and engage the heart, and to promote companies like Isracard and the First International Bank.

His monumental statues adorn Israeli cities; the Hebrew University ordered an ambitious and challenging project from Gerstein: the design of various statues which will symbolize - based on criteria of good taste, common sense and a high level of communication - the various University institutions and faculties; a television show has chosen to decorate its broadcasting studio with his works, in the hope that the pieces' tremendous popularity will attract viewers to the show.

 "Pensées Positives" by Alix, France

Born in Delft, may 1960,

now living in Kerkdriel.

His work is inspired by the works of the Impressionists, like Van Gogh and Mondriaan. He is a far nephew of Jan Schoonhoven member of the zero group (nul groep).

In his paintings he tries to bring back some realism in the use of the technique of Mondriaan; a little more colour and form.

The paintings he makes are based on a positive attitude towards life as it is.

"Took the Seashore Road" by Marie-Claude Eguimendia, France

  • "Ho preso la strada costiera" by Roberto Ottino, Italy
