About us
IMMAGINE&POESIA is the international artistic literary movement founded in Torino, Italy, in 2007, under the Patronage of the late Aeronwy Thomas, daughter of Dylan Thomas.
The Charter Members were Aeronwy Thomas (poet and writer), Gianpiero Actis (painter), Silvana Gatti (painter), Sandrina Piras (poet) and Lidia Chiarelli (coordinator and ideologist of the Movement).
The official art critics of the Movement are Mary Gorgy, New York, USA and Enzo Papa, Torino, Italy.
American poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti and Italian artist Ugo Nespolo are members of IMMAGINE&POESIA’s Honorary Committee.
The song of the Movement is Until the stars fall by Gavin Adam Wood, singer and songwriter from Cambridge, United Kingdom.
The Movement is open to artists, poets and music composers who want to experiment moments of “CROSS FERTILIZATION”.
Since its inception, IMMAGINE&POESIA has continued to grow. Hundreds of poets and artists from all over the world have participated, and the movement now reaches international audiences through the web and through international art exhibitions.
The movement has its MANIFESTO and some international websites and blogs, where it is possible to see how a poem can inspire an artist or an image can inspire a poet.

THE MANIFESTO
- CULTURE –through POETRY and ART- must be food for the spirit of the new generations
- Poetry and figurative art lead to moments of CROSS FERTILIZATION
- Each form of expression can inspire others: our aim is their INTEGRATION
- From the integration of POETRY and FIGURATIVE ART, reciprocally encouraged, a NEW RICH AND COMPLETE FORM OF ART can originate
- The movement is open to artists and writers coming from different geographical areas and cultural backgrounds
- The INTER-ACTION of these artists and writers can improve the understanding and the respect of the others
- We are in favour of a collaboration which can take place via TRADITIONAL MEDIA or via the INTERNET
- NEW TECHNOLOGIES will be preferred in the exchange of creative ideas
- We want to fight apathy, banality, superficiality and to support activity, imagination, originality and research
- The movement IMAGES & POETRY is open to further developments and links with other disciplines and art forms.
